A New Bathroom for the Boys

I have been totally changing my home decor. I started out very rustic and truely antique-y. My house got too old and dark looking so I started tearing everything apart, heading in a completely opposite design standpoint -- contemporary. It feels very good and very theraputic.
Their bathroom was navy and red with lighthouses. Not too kid looking, and definately predictable and dark, so it was back to the store with those items that I never used and still had the price tags on.

It all began while I was watercoloring with my two boys. I decided to cut those water colors up into sea creatures...basing my idea off of somthing I saw here.

I loved the way the art came out framed and labeld and the bright green and orange I tied into my navy went perfectly.

I needed a way to cover up my lighthouse shower curtain hooks...that's where the felt came in.

I am a newly converted felt lover! I am using it for EVERYTHING! These little creatures just created themselves! (and the best part is that thye are just glue-gunned on my old hooks!)

I am very happy with the end result. Especially when I am bathing my kids and my oldest points to each sea creature and says all their names and smiles. Now I need to update the boy bedroom that will soon be shared by the two of them!
